1. Frontal hair transplantation is not indicated for people under 27 years of age Although it may look like hair loss, receding hairline can be due to the normal aging process. However, if there is an identified problem of hair loss at a young age, it is necessary to stabilize it with some medication before we proceed with a transplant.
2. As at younger ages, stabilizing hair loss is the most important step as we have to think about the desired result we are aiming for today, but also after some years. If we undergo a frontal line transplant while the thinning is progressing, then we risk having a heavy frontal hair growth and thinning on the rest of the head.
3. After a transplant the new hair never falls out. Therefore, the candidate wishing to redefine their hairline should think long term. The age of the hair should not differ too much from the age of the person concerned as the result will not be natural.
