Hair Transplant FUE
FUE Hair Transplant Technique

The FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) hair transplant technique is considered the most advanced procedure for transferring hair grafts in recent years.

This method involves the individual extraction of hair follicles from the donor area and their transplantation to the recipient area.

FUE has been described as revolutionary, as compared to the FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) technique, it is less invasive, making it the preferred choice for many individuals. It provides highly satisfactory results with less pain and a shorter recovery time.

The FUE process is carried out in two main stages:

  • Extraction of Hair Follicles: The hair follicles are selected and extracted one by one from the back of the scalp using a specially designed electronic tool with a very small diameter punch. The extracted hair follicles are then kept at a specific temperature and placed in a special solution that enhances their growth after placement.
    • Implantation of Hair Follicles: The hair follicles are then introduced into the predefined recipient area. The implantation is done by creating small holes in the skin of the area affected by hair loss or baldness.

The number of follicles that can be transplanted in one session ranges from 2,000 to 4,000 follicles (depending on individual conditions).

This procedure requires the experience of the surgeon and specialized staff to avoid any complications or damage to both the donor and recipient areas. Such complications could include bleeding, local swelling, intense pain, necrosis, scarring, shock to the transplanted hair follicles, damage to the remaining follicles in the donor area, and even shock to the existing hair in the recipient area.

It is important to note that both during the extraction and implantation of the hair follicles, local anesthesia is administered, and in some cases, mild sedation may be used. This technique is also suitable for eyebrow, temple, and beard transplants, as the area to be covered with hair follicles is relatively small, and the procedure can achieve excellent results. The patient can return to work in a short period of time.
